The Public Policy & Administration Program within the Department of Political Science at Iowa State University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position beginning August 16, 2008. The position is a non-tenure track appointment, subject to Departmental needs and availability of funds. Appointments for additional semesters may be possible, depending on need. Position(s) may be for either one semester or both semesters and to be filled on a term basis (1-3 years), full- or part-time, with possibility of renewal. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses within one or more of the public administration subfields: e-government, public management, budgeting and finance, public policy, administrative law, and personnel management.

Required qualifications: MPA degree (or other professional degree) or MA in Political Science (or related field). Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. or its equivalent in Public Administration or related field. Substantial experience in public administration is desirable.

The Public Policy and Administration Program offers a NASPAA-accredited MPA degree with concentrations in public management, e-government and public policy, as well as undergraduate courses related to public administration. Iowa State University is located in Ames, Iowa, 35 miles north of Des Moines, and has an enrollment of approximately 26,000 students.
