FedEx founder gives Manatt-Phelps lecture
Frederick W. Smith, chairman, president and founder of FedEx, gave the sixth annual Manatt-Phelps Lecture in Political Science on "Trends and Issues in the World Marketplace" Tuesday, Dec. 4. At the conclusion of the lecture Smith was presented a plaque by Ambassador Charles Manatt.

One professor described the senior as the student "with the most frequent flyer miles" on campus. Ambassador Manatt to receive ISU's top alumni award
Ambassador Charles Manatt is one of three five Iowa State alumni who will be recognized during VEISHEA 2008 with the Distinguished Alumni Award, the University's highest honor given to graduates of the institution.
