Lissandra Villa wins Women Impacting ISU award

Lissandra (Lissa) Villa, a senior majoring in political science and in journalism and mass communication, has been selected for the 2016 Women Impacting ISU award by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics. She will appear on the 2016 calendar that recognizes and pays tribute to women faculty, staff, and students who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments at ISU.

Professor David Peterson is the newest editor of Political Behavior

David Peterson, professor of political science at Iowa State University, became editor of the journal Political Behavior effective Jan. 1, 2015. “I am excited by the opportunity to edit the journal and raise the profile of the excellent work on political behavior and communication being done here at ISU,” Peterson said.

The M.P.A. Program at Iowa State is no longer accepting new students into the program as directed by the Iowa Board of Regents. We encourage prospective students to consider applying for the M.A. in political science where they can take courses in public policy and policy implementation within its larger context of politics both in the U.S. and abroad.
