Outcomes

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Career Services office tracks trends in placement. As demonstrated in the table below, a very high proportion of both Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates of the program in Political Science are “occupied,” which includes employed, continuing their education, or not seeking employment. The following results were provided for Academic Years 2009-2010 through 2013-2014. It is important to note that the placement rate for Political Science undergraduates is somewhat higher than the overall 94% rate for all B.A. graduates in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Department is very proud of our students’ success, which attests to the quality of the education they receive and of the skills they acquire.

Program Graduates Total Responses Total Occupied* % Responses % Occupied*
Bachelor of Arts 395 353 337 89.4% 95.5%
Master of Arts 33 31 27 93.9% 87.1%
